EVCT's College Scholarship goes to Tre Moore
EVCT College Scholarship Winner
Tre Moore is an ariZoni and National Youth Arts Award-winning performer. Originally from Bloomington, Illinois, Tre and his family moved to Mesa, Arizona, in May of 2016. He was plugged into EVCT’s musical theatre camp that very summer (thanks Mom!). Tre’s first EVCT production was A Little Princess in the fall of 2016 as the chimney sweep. He went on to participate in 13 mainstage productions, with some favorites including King Thrushbeard (Smoot), Peter Pan (Captain Hook, NYA Award), Seussical Jr. (Cat in the Hat, NYA Award, Zoni nom), The Lost Boys of Neverland (Smee, ariZoni Award, NYA nom), and Frozen Jr. (Kristoff, NYA nom). At the end of his senior year of high school, Tre won the 2022 ASU Gammage High School Musical Theatre Award for Best Lead Male and was sent to the Jimmy Awards in NYC. Tre is entering his junior year at Arizona State University in Barrett, The Honors College, where he is double majoring in Music Theatre Performance and Business Entrepreneurship. Productions with ASU Music Theatre and Opera include Little Women (Laurie), Into the Woods (Jack, Zoni nom), and Pippin (Pippin, ariZoni nom). Tre is currently spending his summer interning at a Broadway marketing agency in New York City. He is forever grateful for EVCT and the endless support he has received from the staff and students. He has made lifelong friendships and attributes many of his successes and skills to his time at EVCT. He is proud to call EVCT his “home theatre” and is thrilled to see what is in store for the upcoming seasons.
