About Us
Theatre for Kids by Kids
EVCT is a professional-quality community theatre where children can grow and develop into successful and fulfilled adults. As a proud founding resident company of the Mesa Arts Center, children across the east valley are welcome, regardless of background, education, or experience performing.
Children ages 3 to 18 years old can participate in our classes, camps, workshops, master classes, playwriting festivals, contests, Main Stage Productions, and more!
Since 1997, EVCT has been managed and staffed by professionals with specialized educational and theatrical experiences, governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, and supported by teams of volunteers with professional skills and knowledge.

Educational Impact
We partner with educators and youth-centered organizations to coordinate field trips and on-site performances. Last season we performed for 600+ Title I students.
We also offer a variety of scholarships that support learning opportunities so every child has a chance to experience live children’s theatre.
