Theatre Troupes Create Camaraderie
Kids bitten by the acting bug can be part of our troupes and ensembles!
Theatre troupes are divided based on age/grade levels to foster a sense of camaraderie and create an environment where kids can collaborate and share ideas.
Troupe auditions are held twice a year (at the beginning of the Spring and Fall sessions). Check out the Auditions below.

EXPRESS: EVCT Express is an acting troupe for youth ages 8-16 directed by Jamie Gilbert. Each semester, students build a title of a show, the troupe members create the story, the characters, and the dialogue to create a play. Then the play is rehearsed and finally performed in various locales in the East Valley.
JUNIOR JOKESTERS: EVCT Junior Jokesters is an improv theatre troupe for kids ages 8-13, directed by Jamie Gilbert. Each session, students develop and rehearse skills to tour improvised performances around the East Valley. The theme of the fall session is “Jokester Hour!” – join in for a fun time of unscripted storytelling and buffoonery.
ON THE SPOT: EVCT On The Spot troupe is an improv theatre troupe for teens (ages 12-18), directed by Aaron Blanco. Each semester, students develop and rehearse skills to tour improvised performances around the East Valley.
LITERATURE ALIVE!: A troupe performance program for homeschool students. Kids bring classic children’s stories to life through 25-minute theatrical performances at different schools. Click here to learn more about Literature Alive!
JR MUSICAL THEATRE: This is a musical theatre group similar to BRAVO, however they only perform at the end-of-season Troupe Showcases.
ADAPTIVE ENSEMBLE: Adaptive Ensemble is part of our Adaptive Theatre Program only performs at the end-of-season Troupe Showcases. It is geared toward students with disabilities, offering a supportive environment for a variety of physical, mental, and emotional needs under the direction of Ms. Shira Schwartz. Troupe & Ensemble Auditions & Performances
Troupes perform at various venues across the East Valley at different venues, libraries and schools. Ensemble groups only perform at the end-of-season Troupe Showcases. Come check out one of our shows!
