About Us
Who We Are
Theatre for Kids, by Kids
We are a professional quality community theatre where children can grow and develop into successful and fulfilled adults. We serve children ages 9 months to 18 years, are managed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, and staffed by professionals having education, business, and theatrical experience. Kids can take classes, participate in camps, workshops, master classes, playwriting festivals, contests, main stage productions, and more.
Strategic Initiatives
- We develop and maintain programs that support our mission.
- We have a sustainable fundraising plan to promote, encourage, and financially support us in achieving our mission.
- We have a marketing plan that educates the community on our programs and overall mission.
- We cultivate a network of community support to help sustain the future of the organization.
- We provide a safe and professional environment, while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Mission
EVCT provides transformative theatre experiences, nurtures creativity, and fosters inclusivity for young people, their families, and the community.
Vision
To create an empathic world/universe where everyone belongs.
Values
The 2023-2024 season ushers in EVCT’s 28th year of serving East Valley kids and their families. As a proud founding resident company of the Mesa Arts Center, we are pleased to offer five main stage productions annually in the Nesbitt-Elliott Playhouse.
Managed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, EVCT has grown from one production and one workshop to an award-winning, perennial education-based children’s theatre, bringing exceptional theatre to the community.
