EVCT offers a performance training for kids age 7-14. This experience is a non-cut production that will be fully staged at the Mesa Arts Center, with costumes, sets, makeup, props and lights.
Join us for this year’s Junior Production, The Adventures of Rikki-Tikki Tavi! EVCT’s Jr. Main Stage Production is the perfect introduction to our main stage performance process for younger children. It also gives our preteen and younger teen performers the chance for a lead role!
This production is open to all children ages 7-14. This is our “no cut” show, so all children registered will be given a role. While our junior production has a shorter, more manageable rehearsal and performance schedule, it still has all the great production value EVCT’s mainstage performances are known for. Best of all, it gives our junior performers the experience of performing at the Mesa Arts Center!
Even with the shorter rehearsal schedule, this still is a full production and requires a lot of work on the part of our child actors. Our child actors are responsible for maintaining non-disruptive behavior throughout rehearsals, listening, taking direction and learning their lines on time. EVCT offers several production classes and performance troupes that might be a better option if your child isn’t quite ready for a full production. Please take a look at the production calendar to ensure you and your child are ready for this commitment. Your child may not be called to all rehearsals after casting. Families will be given the official call calendar after the first week of rehearsal when casting is complete.
