Girl in the Yellow Raincoat

Girl in the Yellow Raincoat – A Page to Stage Performance

Thanks to a NEA grant, our Page to Stage program returns in 2026, with Girl in the Yellow Raincoat. Written by young playwright Paige Underwood, this staged reading will be presented on September 22, 6:30 pm at the MAC. Helping aspiring playwrights find their voice and giving their work the spotlight it deserves is one of the many joys we have at EVCT. Tickets will be available at the door only on the night of the reading, so be sure to save the date now.

EVCT is seeking actors for Girl in the Yellow Raincoat, an original play developed through our Page to Stage program!

At Friendly Pines Summer Camp, Anna struggles to fit in until a dangerous monsoon forces the campers to reconsider what it truly means to accept one another. Written by young playwright Paige Underwood with mentorship from playwright Cori Johnson, this moving new work explores bullying, belonging, and the power of seeing the world differently.

This collaborative process will include only nine rehearsals, focused primarily on character development and shaping the script. The final performance may take the form of a staged reading or develop into a fully blocked and memorized production.
